Bus:
Bus is a collection of wires which is connected to one or more subsystems within a same system. It has shared and common data path which is allowing parallel movement of bits.
It is differentiated into two types. Synchronous bus and asynchronous bus.
Synchronous bus:
This buses sends the information in form of blocks and frames. It is clocked and the transmission occurs only at clock ticks. There is no gap between the data while sending in the bus. The time interval is constant. It is expensive in cost and fast in transmission.
Asynchronous bus:
It sends a byte or character at a time. The control lines are coordinate with the operations and handshaking protocol is employed to effect the timing.
