Concept Introduction:
Depreciation is a non-cash expense recorded in the income statement. Depreciation is an expense which reduces the value of assets due to the use of asset and passage of time. It is shown in the income statement as an expense and it reduces the value of the asset on the balance sheet.
Carrying value means the value shown in the balance sheet it is shown after reducing the accumulated depreciation amount.
To Calculate: Carrying value of computer system.
