Plasma membrane is made up of a lipid bilayer, the polar head of plasma membrane is hydrophilic and interacts with polar molecules and water, and non polar tails are hydrophobic and make the membrane impermeable to most of the water soluble molecules. The protein present in the membrane performs a specialized function such as transport, carriers, and receptors.
