Chapter 4, Problem 10CYU
Summary Introduction
To review:
The gland with a highest rate of cell division among the merocrine or holocrine glands and the reason for high cellular division.
Introduction:
The multicellular exocrine glands ae divided into different types on the basis of their mode of secretion. The merocrine glands secrete the products by means of exocytosis as they are produced, without any accumulation. Holocrine secretion involves the accumulation of products and secreted by the rupture of cell, so the secretion of this type of gland includes secretory products with some of the dead cell fragments.
