Rank the following in order of increasing size: cluster, supercluster, galaxy, solar system.
The rank in order of the increasing size of cluster, supercluster, galaxy, solar system
Answer to Problem 1TC
The order of increasing size is arranged as follows: solar system, galaxy, clusters, supercluster.
Explanation of Solution
The universe is the set of all celestial, visible matter, dark matter, galaxies, solar system, and clusters. It consists of space withholding many mysteries with it. Galaxy groups and clusters are the collection of many galaxies and are known as gravitationally bound objects. They form the densest part of the universe. Groups and clusters may contain ten to thousands of galaxies.
In our solar system, the Sun is the largest star that is many times bigger than all other planets. A galaxy such as our Milky Way Galaxy is a set of solar systems that are revolving about a central core.
A supercluster is the cluster or group of many galaxies cluster. The largest space occupied by something in the universe is a supercluster. So, a supercluster is a set of the solar system, galaxy, and clusters. The solar system is the part of galaxies that is rank first, then the galaxy, and then cluster of the galaxy, and finally, supercluster is ranked at last in order of increasing size.
Conclusion:
Therefore, the order of increasing size is arranged as follows: solar system, galaxy, clusters, supercluster.
