Chapter 3.2, Problem 3.13CP
Complete the following program skeleton so that it displays the volume of a cylindrical fuel tank. The formula for the volume of a cylinder is
volume = πr2h;
where
π is 3.14159
r is the radius of the tank
h is the height of the tank
#include <iostream>
#include <cmath>
int main()
{
double volume, radius, height;
cout << "This program will tell you the volume of\n”;
cout << "a cylinder-shaped fuel tank.\n";
cout << "How tall is the tank?";
cin >> height;
cout << "What is the radius of the tank?";
cin >> radius;
// You must complete the program.
return 0;

Problem
Write a program that computes and displays the charges for a patient’s hospital stay. First, the program should ask if the patient was admitted as an in-patient or an out-patient. If the patient was an in-patient, the following data should be entered:
• The number of days spent in the hospital• The daily rate• Hospital medication charges• Charges for hospital services (lab tests, etc.)
The program should ask for the following data if the patient was an out-patient:
• Charges for hospital services (lab tests, etc.)• Hospital medication charges
The program should use two overloaded functions to calculate the total charges. One of the functions should accept arguments for the in-patient data, while the other function accepts arguments for out-patient information. Both functions should return the total charges.
Input Validation: Do not accept negative numbers for any data.
#include
int main()

float Bread = 1.09, Water = 2.18, Banana = 1.00, Meat = 7.99;
//Unit for bread is loaf, for water is bottle, for banana and meat are Ibs.
int Bread_num=2, Water_num=3, Banana_num=2, Meat_num = 1;
float Cost = Bread"Bread_num+Water*Water_num+Banana*Banana_num+Meat"Meat_num;

You have 2 loaves of bread, 3 bottles of water, 2 lbs of Banana, and 1 lbs of Meat.
It is 18.71 before tax but you need to pay extra 1.31 for tax.

Anagrams may be several words long such as “CS AT WATERLOO” and “COOL AS WET ART”. Note that two phrases may be anagrams of each other even if each phrase has a different number of words (as in the previous example). Write a program to determine if two phrases are anagrams of each other. Input Specifications The input for the program will come from an input file in.dat, in.dat will have two lines of data, line (1) will have the first phrase and the line(2) will have the second phrase. You may assume that the input only contains upper case letters and spaces. Output Specifications The program will print out one of two statements: ”Is an anagram.” or, ”Is not an anagram.” All output will be to the screen. Sample Input CS AT WATERLOO COOL AS WET ART Output for Sample Input Is an anagram.arrow_forward

Fractional scores, such as 8.3, are allowed. A performer's final score is determined by dropping the highest and lowest score received, then averaging the three remaining scores. Write a program that uses this method to calculate a contestant's score. It should include the following functions: void getJudgeData() should ask the user for a judge's score, store it in a reference parameter variable, and validate it. This function should be called by main once for each of the five judges. void calcScore() should calculate and display the average of the three scores that remain after dropping the highest and lowest scores the performer received. This function should be called just once by main and should be passed the five scores. The last two functions, described below, should be called by calcScore, which uses the returned information to determine which of the…arrow_forwardDetermine the distance between point (x1, y1) and point (x2, y2), and assign the result to pointsDistance. For this company, an employee earns $20 an hour for the first 40 hours that they work. The employee earns overtime, $30 an hour, for each hour they work above 40 hours. Example: If an employee works 60 hours in a week, they would earn $20/hr for the first 40 hours. Then they would earn $30/hr for the 20 hours they worked overtime. Therefore, they earned: ($20/hr * 40hrs) + ($30/hr * 20 hrs) = $800 + $600 = $1400 total. For this assignment, you must create pseudocode and a flowchart to design a program that will calculate an employee’s weekly paycheck. Write pseudocode to design a programming solution by outlining a series of steps and using appropriate indentation and keywords. As you write your pseudocode, be sure to consider the following: What input does the computer need? What steps does the program need to follow to process the input?…arrow_forwardarrow_back_iosSEE MORE QUESTIONSarrow_forward_ios
