Explanation of Solution

States of given sender and receiver:

Following are the states of sender and receiver as follows:

• Sender state as “wait for call 1 from above”.
• Receiver state as “wait for 1 from below”.

Deadlock state in given sender and receiver:

• At first, the sender sends a packet contain the sequence number “1”.
• After sending the packet, now the sender sate is “wait for ACK or NACK 1”. It represent the sender waits for an acknowledgement form the receiver.
• The re receiver had received the packet “1” and send back the ACK...
