A car drives around a circular track of diameter 161 m at a constant speed of 47.4 m/s. During the time it takes the car to travel 256 degrees around, what is the magnitude of the car s average acceleration?
Hint: Do not calculate instantenous accelleration. Instead calculte the average acceleration over the fraction of a complete lap. Average acceleration equals change in velocity divided by change in time, and that this is a two-dimensional situation so you'll have to calculate the x and y components of the average acceleration first and then figure out the magnitude. Remember also that ax = Δvx/Δt and ay = Δvy/Δt.
0 m/s^2
27.91 m/s^2
13.96 m/s^2
9.84 m/s^2
