The cochlea is the part of the inner ear which has snail shell like structure. The cochlea is responsible for receiving the sound in the form of the vibrations; these vibrations are then transduced into the sensory signals that transmit to the central nervous system for interpretation. Vestibular apparatus is the fluid filled duct present within the cochlear canal and responsible for the sense of equilibrium which includes the balance and the coordination.
