The disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).
Introduction:
DIC is the widespread clotting of the blood throughout the body that blocks small blood vessels, which cuts off the blood supply to the tissues leading to tissue necrosis. The common causes of DIC are sepsis, yellow fever, cancer, and major trauma. These are of two main types: acute and chronic. It is often accompanied by hemorrhage.
