A nucleosome is a smallest unit of chromatin and also considered as basic unit of nucleic acid packed in eukaryotic nuclii. It consist of negative charged DNA wrapped around 8 molecule of histone positively charged.

These nucleosomes are the building blocks of chromosomes which consist of DNA strand wrapped around histone core of protein.
