The relation between fatty acids and triglycerides in response to dehydration synthesis and hydrolysis.
Introduction:
Fatty acids are consist of 4 to 25 carbon atoms with a methyl group at one end and carboxyl group at the other end. Fatty acids are bond to the glycerol molecule in each hydroxyl group, it removes a water molecule to form a triglycerol molecule by dehydration synthesis. Fatty acids are broken down when triglycerol hydrolysis with water by adding a water molecule.
