Question
Chapter 24, Problem 10LTB
Summary Introduction
To determine:
If the given statement is true or false.
Introduction:
Reflexes are automatic responses to a stimulus. They are prewired in a circuit of neurons known as a reflex arc, often consisting of a sensory neuron receiving information from a sensory receptor, an interneuron passing on the information, and a motor neuron sending a message to the muscle that needs to respond.
A reflex arc can consist of a sensory receptor, a sensory neuron, an interneuron, a motor neuron, and an effector. Touching a hot baking sheet evokes the withdrawal reflex.

Reflex theory can be defined as: a chain of action thought to be triggered by some external stimulus that resulted in an observable movement response.
True
False
True or false : A plexopathy is suspected if the symptoms are localised to a single nerve. Patients may complain of neuropathic pains, numbness or weakness and wasting of muscles?
True/False: The autonomic nervous system is “involuntary” therefore the cerebral cortex has no control over this branch of the nervous system.
