Summary Introduction

To draw:

A diagram that includes petiole axillary bud, leaf, node and internodes.

Concept introduction:

A leaf is an outgrowth that grows from a stem. It is a flattened structure. It is a site for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which the green parts of the plants make food in the presence of solar energy. This chlorophyll is present in structures called thylakoids which are in turn present in an empty cavity called grana. Depending on the leaf blades leaf can be classified into a simple leaf that has a single blade and a compound leaf that have several leaflets.
