Nucleotides are present in the genetic material DNA inside the cell. They are composed of purines like adenine and guanine and pyrimidines like cytosine and thymine. These nucleotides are linked to each other by hydrogen bonds in between them. Adenine binds to thymine and guanine binds to cytosine through hydrogen bonds.
