The elements N, O, and C are in one row in a periodic table. They are arranged as C, N, O respectively from left to right. So, the electronegativity of oxygen is most and that of carbon is the least out of these three.
It means the oxygen can hold the negative charge best and the water molecule can easily donate the hydrogen ion out of these three.
The carbon atom has the least electronegativity. So, it is hard for carbon to hold the negative charge and the methane molecule cannot easily donate the hydrogen ion out of these three.
So, the water is the strongest acid and methane is the weakest acid out of these three.
