Summary Introduction
To discuss:
The mechanism that opens and closes the heart valves.
Introduction:
A heart consists of four chambers; left and right atrium and ventricles correspondingly. Each chamber receives the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood separately and pumps them out separately. The atrium and ventricles are portioned toward each other through the atrioventricular septum by a small orifice between them guarded by valves named as atrioventricular valves.
