The mixture is formed when two or more elements or compounds are combined without changing their properties.
When the composition is the same throughout the mixture, it is known as a homogeneous mixture. There are two types of mixtures which are: solution and suspension.
When the components of the homogeneous mixture are all in the same phase, it is known as the solution.
When the components of the heterogeneous mixture are in different phases, it is known as the suspension.
So, the difference is in the phase of components.
