Where does the heart come from? Does it form the same way in both insects and vertebrates?
VSD, or ventricular septal defect, is a condition that accounts for half of all congenital cardiovascular anomalies. In this condition, a hole exists in the septum, the muscular wall between the ventricles, which allows blood from the right and left side of the heart to mix. What sort of problems might this condition cause?
Left Atrium
Right Atrium
Left Ventricle
Right Ventricle
b) On the diagram of the heart above, use arrows to show the pathway of blood
through the heart and its associated vessels.
c) Use a blue colored pencil to shade in all regions of the heart that carry
deoxygenated blood and a red colored pencil to shade in the regions that carry
oxygenated blood.
