The graph of electronegativity and electrode potential needs to be plotted and the pattern of the graph should be obtained and the electronic structure consistency with anodic or cathodic tendency should be explained.

• Electrode potential is a tendency of a metal to lose its electrons.
• Hydrogen potential is set to zero volts.
• Electrode potential is measured with respect to the hydrogen electrode.
• The ability of a metal to be anodic or cathodic is measured by its electronegativity.
