To describe: The signs of APSGN related to increased glomerular permeability.
Introduction: Glomerulonephritis or acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis (APSGN) is the inflammation of glomeruli of the kidney. This can be caused by streptococcal infection. It results in leaky glomeruli, hematuria, red blood cell casts, albuminuria, severe renal failure, and uremia. The two types of glomerulonephritis based on clinical presentation are nephrotic syndrome and nephritic syndrome.
