Introduction:

Parathyroid glands are found embedded on the dorsal surface of the thyroid glands. They are the small masses of secretory tissue and are four in number. All the four parathyroid glands do the exact same thing in the human body. These glands secrete parathyroid hormones (PTH, also called Collip's hormone) that continuously regulate the blood calcium level.
