The basal transcription apparatus binds to a gene’s core promoter which carries out minimal level of transcription. Transcriptional regulatory proteins bind to regulatory promoter of a gene and carries out normal level of transcription

Introduction:

The response elements are the site for the binding of transcriptional activator protein. The binding of transcriptional activator protein to the response element help in elevation of transcription rate.
