Chapter 17.1, Problem 2CC
Summary Introduction

To explain: The reason behind the expression of only one variant of each character in the F1 generation.

Introduction: An allele is defined as a variant of a gene responsible for coding a specific character. There are atleast two different alleles for each phenotypic characteristics. The interaction between the alleles is responsible for different phenotypic traits. These interactions can produce three types of genotypes: homozygous dominant, heterozygous and homozygous recessive.

Give typing answer with explanation and conclusion Suppose that in a given species of plant the color of the flowers is determined by a gene whose dominant allele is embryonic lethal in homozygosis (AA). Two heterozygous plants are crossed (Aa x Aa) to produce 120 individuals. How many individuals in the progeny are expected to present the recessive phenotype? please explain None 30 40 120
F2 plants segregate colored : colorless. If acolored plant is picked at random and selfed, what is theprobability that both colored and colorless plants will beseen among a large number of its progeny?   Please solve with step by step please
incomplete dominance   What is the phenotype of the plant with RR genotype?  What is the color of a plant with R'R' genotype? What is the color of a plant with genotype RR'? A pink-flowered snapdragon was crossed with a white-flowered snapdragon. What is the probability of producing a pink-flowered plant? What cross will produce the most pink-flowered plants?
