Introduction:

HIV infections do not appear at times until an individual experiences the deficiency of immunity after a long term infection. The number of CD4 (cluster of differentiation) T cells decline which is responsible for immune functioning. There are various tests that can be done in analyzing the presence of HIV infection as these tests require a high degree of specificity and sensitivity. There can be false negative and false positive results as well.
