Question
Chapter 17, Problem 1TE
To determine
Whether chemistry is science of sub microscopic, microscopic or macroscopic particles
Expert Solution & Answer
Answer to Problem 1TE
Chemistry is study of Sub microscopic
Explanation of Solution
At macroscopic level the particles are visible with naked eye, like glass of water. At microscopic level the particles are visible only through the microscope, like a cell. At sub microscopic level the particles are not visible with any instrument at this stage only atoms and molecules exist and chemistry is the study of atoms and molecules.
Conclusion:
Therefore, chemistry is study of sub microscopic particles.
