Explanation of Solution

Organs of endocrine systems are:

(a).

Hyphothalamus: It releases the hormones that control the secretion of the pituitary glands.

(b)

Pitutary gland: The pituitary gland is also known as the master gland, as it controls the secretions of other glands. Posterior pituitary releases oxytocin and antidiuretic hormone and the anterior pituitary secrete hormones like prolactin, growth hormone, thyroid stimulating hormone, etc.

(c).

Thyroid: This gland is located in the neck and secretes thyroxin and triiodothyronine. These hormones are necessary for metabolism.

(d).

Adrenal gland: These glands are located above the kidneys, and secretes adrenaline and the steroid aldosterone and cortisol.

(e).

Parathyroid gland: Present in the neck region, just behind the thyroid gland. This gland produces parathyroid hormone (PTH). It controls the calcium level of the body.

(f).

Thymus: This gland produces thymosin hormone and stimulates the development of the T-lymphocyte of the immune system.

(g).

Pancreas: Located in the abdominal cavity and produces insulin, glucagon, somatostatin and pancreatic polypeptide.

(h).

Testes: It is a male reproductive gland that secretes testosterone, and androgens. It is also involved in the production of sperm.

(i).

Ovary: It is a female reproductive gland that secretes estrogen and progesterone. Ovary also produces eggs in the female.
