The portions of the Hh signaling pathway would get mutations in the IFT motor proteins Kif3A, Kif7 and dynein disrupt.
Introduction:
Intraflagellar transport (IFT) is a process which transfers proteins into cilia. It results in a disease in humans. IFT helps in the ciliary assembly, preservation, protein export, and possibly ciliary signaling. Smaller the spontaneously diffusing proteins like tubulin will depend on IFT to be intense or are removed from cilia. The Hedgehog signaling pathway is that transfer the information to the embryonic cells. These embryonic cells work for the appropriate cell differentiation. The different portions of the embryo show different concentrations of these hedgehog signaling proteins. These proteins are helpful in the developmental pathway.
