The functions of four types of sensory receptors.
Introduction:
A stimulus is any change in the external or internal environment which is detected by the nervous system to take an appropriate action. Nervous system is able to detect a stimulus with the help of receptors. These receptors take up the signal and pass it to the nervous system via sensory neurons. The signal is processed and appropriate action is generated which is passed to the effector body part via the motor neuron.
