Chapter 15, Problem 5SQ
Summary Introduction
To determine: The fact about tetanus bacteria by the condition that tetanus can be killed by prolonged heating at temperatures above boiling.
Introduction: Tetanus is disease that is caused by a bacterium called Clostridium tetani. It is an anaerobic bacterium and thrives well in places that are rich in rust containing areas. It is a gram positive bacterium. It is a rod shaped bacterium among the four shapes of bacteria which are rod shaped, spiral shaped, comma shaped and spherical or round shaped bacteria.
