A parking lot is 275 ft by 200 ft (Figure 14-23). A trade size 4 conduit has been buried 2 ft beneath the concrete. The conduit runs at an angle from one corner of the parking lot to the other. Two pull boxes have been placed in the conduit run. The pull boxes are equally spaced along the length of conduit. Your job is to pull conductors through the conduit from one end of the run to the other.
FIGURE 14-23 Determining length.
Allowing 12 ft of extra conductor, what is the length of each conductor? The conductors are not to be spliced.
How much cable will be required to pull these conductors through the conduit, allowing an extra 5 ft at one end that is to be connected to the pulling device and 3 ft extra that is to be used to connect the conductors to the cable?

- QUESTION 15 What is the minimum sized Rigid Metal Conduit we should use for the above wire run if it is 24 inches long? a 1" b 1 1/4" c 1 1/2" d 2"arrow_forwardQ13/ choose the correct answer A transformer with full load voltage of 223 volts, when the regulation is 4%. The no load voltage will be _____________________________ V. A- 227.46 B- 111.50 C- 231.92 D-148.67arrow_forwardA cable wire maybe coaxial or twisted. Coaxial costs 25 centavos per meter while twisted wire costs only 18 centavos. The soldering cost for coaxial wire is P1.30 per connection, for twisted wire P1.70. What length of cable run will make the cost of installing coaxial equal to that of the twisted wire. Assume that the number of soldered connection is 350. ANSWER_____________marrow_forward
