Chapter 13, Problem 72E
Program Plan Intro

Ways to train your voice recognition system:

  • In a modern voice recognition system, we still face the problems with conversational speech.
  • To overcome those problems, it is necessary to give adequate training to recognize a human voice and a set of words. That is, the voice recognition systems are “trained” to identify a particular voice or sound.
  • Voiceprint is defined as the voice that is spoken or the sound that has been recorded.
  • A voiceprint is a design of frequency change that occurs over the sound generated by the human voice while speaking a specific word or speech.
  • To train voice recognition systems, the humans have to speak the same word several times, the system then records the average voiceprint of that word.
  • Later, it compares the recorded voiceprint to determine the word which was spoken.
