Introduction:

Semiconservative replication: It is a description of DNA replication, in which one strand of the DNA act as a template strand for the formation of the other strand. One strand of parent DNA remains unchanged in the daughter strands; hence, it is called semiconservative.

Explanation of Solution

Given below are the different steps of DNA replication:

Initiation:

In this phase, the unwinding of the DNA takes place with the help of helicase enzyme and the single strands are stabilized by single strand binding proteins.

Elongation:

The free nucleotides of DNA are attached complementary to the unwind strands of the DNA. DNA polymerase brings the nucleotides.

Termination:

It is the last step of the DNA replication process.
