Online Transaction Processing (OLTP):
- OLTP is the
program that is used for supporting transaction oriented applications over the internet. - It is helps in retail sales, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), financial transactions and order entries.
- It includes three steps. They are:
- Collecting the input data
- Processing the data
- Updating the existing data
- The performance of OLTP includes clusters, discrete transactions, rollback segments,
database tuning, buffer cache size and many others.
