Database schema:

• A database schema is the logical view of the data in the database.
• The logical structure of database signifies the relationship of data items and shows how they are related to one another.
• The database schema defines its entities and its relationship.

Categories of database schema: It is divided into two categories. They are:

Physical database schema: The physical database schema pertains to the actual storage of information like files, indices, and so on. It defines how the information gets stored in the secondary storage.

Logical database schema: The logical database schema defines the logical constraints that are applied on the stored information. It defines tables, views, and so on.
