Circular reference:

  • If the result of a formula used in a particular cell depends directly or indirectly on the another cell, it is called circular reference.
  • For example, if a cell “B5” contains the formula “B3+B4” and the cell “B3” contains the formula “B4+B5”, then the problem is that, it cannot find out the solution because, the cell “B5” depends on the cell “B3” which gain depends on “B5”.
    • This problem is called as circular reference.
