To explain: The way in which variegation of X-linked genes related to the mechanism responsible for sex chromosome dosage compensation in humans and other mammals.
Introduction: The genes present on the X-chromosome are known as X-linked genes. X-linked genes in mammals have unique inheritance pattern. In females, the X-linked genes have the homozygous or the heterozygous pattern and in males, the X-linked genes have the hemizygous pattern.
