The reason for becoming a weaker iron magnet when dropped on a hard floor.
Answer to Problem 6RQ
Due to the misalignment of the atoms, the iron magnet becomes weaker.
Explanation of Solution
A magnetic field produced by an object due to which it can pull or attract the other ferromagnetic materials towards itself is known as the magnet. There are three kinds of a magnet that are exists, a temporary magnet, permanent magnet and
In an iron magnet, the atoms are aligned properly, which is known as the domain. When it is dropped on the hard floor, that domain of the aligned atoms gets disturbed and the fewer number of magnetic domains remains in proper alignment. Due to this reason, the iron magnet becomes weaker.
Conclusion:
Therefore, due to the misalignment of the atoms, the iron magnet becomes weaker.
