What are two ways in which your program makes use of menus, and why would you prefer to have users choose from a menu rather than type in their own text?
What are two instances of menu usage in your program, and what advantages does it have over letting the user type in their own text?
As a programmer you are required to develop a temperature conversion program with a menudriven style that provides the user with options to choose to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit and
vice versa. The menu options are as follows:
1. Celsius to Fahrenheit
2. Fahrenheit to Celsius
3. Exit
The menu is displayed via the menu function and the program terminates when the user
chooses Exit on the menu. Each menu has its own user-defined function. The function will
calculate and display the intended temperature. For example, if the user chooses ‘1’, a
function which convert temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit will be called which accept
temperature in Celsius and display it in Fahrenheit. Assume only positive number is accepted
as input. Once the function is executed, it will return back to the main function and continue
the program.

- Fast Food Restaurant Make a program that has several food items on the menu with prices. The user will select the items and quantity they want. The computer will calculate the total price of the items, add the tax and present the bill to the user. You can add features to the program like getting money and giving change, asking for more money if the user does not enter enough money and asking if the user wants to change their order. Choose Your Own Adventure Story Make an adventure story. There were a series of books that allowed the reader to choose how the story went. You will make a story and allow the user to choose what they want to do. For example, “You are walking down a trail. You see a sword. What do you want to do? A) Pick up the sword B) Leave the sword on the ground If the user picks up the sword, **** happens. If the user leaves the sword on the ground, ***** happens. The program begins by displaying the menu to the user. The program then starts over at the menu, allowing the user to choose again. The program stops when the user finally enters option 4. Circle The area of a circle is calculated using the formula: area = π r 2 If the user has selected this option, you will need to get the radius value from the user. For , create a constant floating-point variable with the value 3.14159. Your calculation must use pow for squaring the radius. Display the calculated area back to the user. - In the 1850's, the hottest new technology was the telegraph. Messages or telegrams could be sent via electrical forces traveling through a wire. Write a program that will generate a bill for sending a telegram and give the user the opportunity to translate a message into Morse code. The amount owed for sending a telegram is based on the number of words sent. Customers are charged at a rate of $1.50 for blocks of 5 words and $0.50 for single words. Named constants must be used in the calculation. For now, your program will only translate a single letter into Morse code. In the next project, you will add the functionality to translate an entire message. Use the tables below to translate letters into Morse code. Checkboxes are used in designing the user interface for situations where the user may choose only one of a few choices. Boolean variables are often used to improve the readability / clarity of the program code. For Next loops can have both negative and positive step values. If no item has been selected in a listbox, the SelectedIndex property of the listbox will have a value of zero. A Boolean variable must be initialized after the If instruction in which it is used is executed. A post-test loop is a loop that is designed to be executed at least once. In coding a Select Case instruction, the only thing that may appear after the Select Case keywords is a variable. A Do loop begins with the keyword Do and ends with the keyword Loop. The condition that controls a Do Until loop must be true for the loop to be executed.
