Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The centrifugal distortion constant for the $\text{B}\text{r}\text{B}\text{r}$ molecule and the effect of isotopic substitution on the distortion constant have to be stated.

Concept introduction:

The molecules on rotation tend to experience a centrifugal force.  This centrifugal force brings about a change in the molecular geometry and the moment of inertia of molecule.  The centrifugal force stretches the bond and increases the moment of inertia.  This further decreases the rotational constant.
