A eutectic reaction that shows the production of the composition of the three phases in equilibrium needs to be determined. Also, the values of $\alpha$ and $\beta$ in the Mg-Al system needs to be determined.

Concept Introduction:

A eutectic reaction is a complete three-phase reaction that simultaneously converts a liquid on cooling into two solid stages. It's a reaction in the phase change, but a special one. For instance: fluid alloy at a particular temperature becomes a strong combination of alpha and beta. The eutectic solid is usually lamellar in shape.
