East means West. Suppose you have a triangular cake and you find the point in the middle such that if you cut from that point to the three vertices of the triangular cake, you like all three pieces equally. Now suppose that you cut the cake from a point on the line from that equal- liking point to the east vertex (that is, upper-right vertex). If the cake were cut from that new point, would you prefer the West piece, the East piece, or the North piece? Why?
