Program Plan Intro
Program plan:
- Import the required header files.
- Define the class “Main”.
- Define the main method.
- Create a try and catch block.
- The “ObjectInputStream” is used to read a data from the binary files.
- The “inputStream” is the object of the “ObjectInputStream” stream class.
- The “FileInputStream” is an input stream used for reading data from a “File”. It allows to open a file for reading binary string and to establish the connection within it.
- The “readUTF” method is used to read the string value which was written by the “writeUTF” method.
- Display the strings.
- Close the file.
- Catch block is used to throw an error message, if the file was not found in the found.
- Create a try and catch block.
Note: Assume “stuff.data” file contains “Hai! Welcome to Java

Many applications possess a word search facility that will parse a text file to identify the presence of a given word. You are required to write a Java application using Netbeans that will open a text file of prose and search for a target word input by the user. The Search functionality would be done int two ways:
1. Search for the number of occurrences of the word. For example, if the user types ‘the’, the program should print out the number of times the word the appears in the text.2. A wildcard search.A wildcard could be used to represent one or more multiple characters at the beginning or end of a word, and/or as a direct replacement for a single character. For example, if the text contained the words ‘shape’, ‘tape’ and ‘hate’, then queried string ‘*ape’ would return ‘shape’ and ‘tape’, whilst ‘s*ape’ could only return ‘shape’. Perhaps leading, trailing and single letter substitution wildcards can be made allowable within the same single word search.
A text file is…
Java Problem
The teacher at a school needs help grading an exam with a number of True/False questions. The students’ IDs and test answers are stored in a file. The first entry of the file contains the answer to the test in the form:
TTFTFTTTFTFTFFTTFTTF
Every other entry in the file is the student’s ID, followed by a blank, followed by the students’ response. For instance, the entry:
ABC54102 T FTFTFTTTFTTFTTF TF
The student’s ID is ABC54102, answer to question 1 is True, the answer to question 3 is False. Also, the student did not answer question 2 and question 18. The exam has 20 questions. Here is the grading policy: each correct answer is awarded two points, each wrong answer get -1 point, and no answer gets 0 point. Write a program that processes the test data. The output should be the student’s ID, followed by the answers, followed by the test score (total points), followed by the test grade. Assume the following grade scale will be used: 90%-100%, A; 80%-89.99%, B; 70%-79.99%,…
JAVA PPROGRAM
Write a program that prompts the user to enter a file name, then opens the file in text mode and reads names. The file contains one name on each line. The program then compares each name with the name that is at the end of the file in a symmetrical position. For example if the file contains 10 names, the name #1 is compared with name #10, name #2 is compared with name #9, and so on. If you find matches you should print the name and the line numbers where the match was found.
While entering the file name, the program should allow the user to type quit to exit the program.
If the file with a given name does not exist, then display a message and allow the user to re-enter the file name.
The file may contain up to 100 names.
You can use an array or ArrayList object of your choosing, however you can only have one array or ArrayList.
Input validation:
a) If the file does not exist, then you should display a message "File 'somefile.txt' is not found." and allow the…

The program will get the names from a file. The names should be read in until there is no more data to read. The program should prompt the user for the file name and read the data from the file. A suitable file of names (List of Random Names) is provided on Moodle. Note that these names might include spaces; handle your input accordingly. The expected output is two names; do not show the entire file (or you will regret that code when you do the associated programming quiz that processes thousands of names).
