To explain: The dangers of visiting tanning salon.

Introduction: Tanning is a growing trend nowadays. Many people go to tanning salons to get the tanned skin tone or natural sun kissed skin color. Tanning has become an important beauty trend. But tanning is associated with DNA mutations as there is use of UV lights in the process of tanning.

Any change in the nucleotide sequence of DNA or the genetic material results in mutations. Mutations can harm the cell or cause disorders in the body. The chemical or physical agent causing these mutations is known as mutagens. The known mutagens are some chemicals, radioactive substances, ultraviolet rays and x rays which can cause cancer.
