The manometric unit of presusre is mm Hg. It is defined as extra pressure that is generated by the column of mercury wich is 1 mm high and it is equal to 133.322 pascals. The reading from a mercury column can be converted into other units of pressure by multiplying the height difference between two mercury levels by denisty of the mercury and gravitational acceleration.
