Answer to Problem 68A

Depending upon the results of the experimentation, the science accepts or science rejects are decided.

Explanation of Solution

Science is defined as the study of natural events by observation, identification, description, experimental inquiry, and theoretical justification.

Scientists use a scientific method to solve a problem.

A logical, methodical technique for solving a scientific problem is known as the scientific method.

Making observations, proposing and testing hypotheses, and creating theories are all steps in the scientific method.

A hypothesis is a theory put up to explain an observable. Only if it explains what is witnessed is it valuable. The hypothesis must be modified when experimental data does not support it.

The result is the same as the proposed hypothesis then the idea of science works.

Even after repeating the experiment, if the result is not favorable then it is said to be science rejects since it does not work.
