SUMMARY: Develops and implements the strategic online marketing plans. Stays abreast of
changes in the online marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the company and
adjusts plans accordingly. Responsible for overseeing other aspects of the e-commerce site such
as advertising and content components.
Manage all site development and online information: 50%
• Direct internet strategy and manage overall e-commerce site presence and effectiveness.
• Develop plans for enhancing e-commerce site and present recommendations to marketing
director and senior executives.
• Support specific business objectives and enforce the company’s brand image online.
• Design and set standards for the look-and-feel of the entire site.
• Oversee all web development, testing/proofing, publishing, and archiving.
• Negotiate online related contracts.
• Act as point person for all e-commerce initiatives. Manage internet marketing team.

Manage development and maintenance of site: 30%
• Manage development of the site to ensure proper functionality.
• Provide email support to all internal and external customers in relation to website.
• Manage domain names and renewals.
• Manage relationships with external vendors.
• Serve as point person for internal questions and recommendations.
• Train staff on how to use e-commerce site when updates are made.
• Survey staff and customers about customer satisfaction with e-commerce site.
• Keep up to date on technology and enhancements that apply to the site.
• Analyze market conditions, trends and the competitive environment to define business
opportunities and report to the marketing team and senior management.
• Optimize web site for higher natural ranking in search engines. (SEO)
• Manage content and procurement process.
Manage and develop special sales, contests and advertising unique to the Internet: 20%
• Develop and adapt marketing strategies for online applications.
• Manage online advertising including circulars, banner ads, direct email, search engine
marketing (SEM), and affiliate marketing. Execution includes working with internal and
external teams on target strategy, creative development, keywords, scheduling, email list
management, and email list growth.
• Manage e-marketing tools: web analytics, e-mail marketing, and search engine
optimization.
• Coordinate online promotions across all product categories.
• Assist with promotions or events as needed.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
• A combination of marketing and web development experience equal to 5 years i.e., 4
years marketing, 1 year web development or 3 years marketing, 2 years web
development, etc.
• 3-5 years of project management experience.
• Knowledge of consumer electronics, appliances, flooring and furniture preferred.
• Experience with HTML authoring tools, FTP software, Photoshop, Web reporting, VPN,
SSL Certificates
• Video editing and photography knowledge a plus
Computer Skills:
• Knowledge of internet software: analytics software, SEM tools, site search tools.
• Knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
