A special Task Force, chaired by former Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) Deputy Governor, and comprising public sector representatives, has been appointed to engage security firms contracted by the Government to provide services at MDAs island wide in discussions over 100 days, ending December 2023 and for the special report, with their findings and recommendations, to be tabled no later than January 15, 2024. For employers to honour their obligations, going forward, and for security guards who are employees of these firms to benefit, the simple fact is that customers of security guard firms will have to pay more for security guard services, and there is no way around that. Your mission is, to list 5 line items, of your choice, for negotiation with your employer, Tonka Security, and present same in 15 days. For this exercise students will be placed in teams representng Unionized Workers and Management. You are required to type your items for claim and advise the management who are required within 4 days of receipt to reply to the union on their position. The union and management will meet. For every meeting their should be brief records. . There will be a team charter for team members to assess none or low performing members. The document is only necessary, if such a member exists. This exercise does not require that your draft response to be uploaded to TIN. Only the team lead or his/her nominee is required to upload the MSWord document, only, to the drop box. 1.
