Expert Solution
Main Funtion Of KIdney

Funtion of Kidney:

1. Removal of the waste products from the body.

2. It Removes the excess drugs from the body.

3. It helps to maintain the balance of Body fluids.

4. It releases Erythropoietin  hormones which regulates the blood pressure.

5. It produces active form of VItamin D which helps to have a strong, healthy bones.

6. The production of the Red Blood cells are also controlled by KIdney.

Sodium retention by the blood due to Kidney disease

Sodium means more or excess of salt in the blood. So this excess of salt in the bloodstream, effects the balance of the body fluids. this results to the poor ability of the kidney to remove water from the body.

With the increased volume of water in the bloodstream, it exerts pressure and strain on the delicate blood vessels, which increases the blood pressure of the body.

So if the Sodium level is high in the blood due to some disease of the kidney, it can result to more water retention, high volume of blood and so increased blood pressure.
