Aerobic capacity is the maximum amount of oxygen a body can consume during the exercise at the maximum intensity.  It is denoted as "VO2 max". It is the product of the one's maximal cardiac output and a person's arterial-venous oxygen difference.  VOis an indicator of an individual's cardio-respiratory fitness. It also means that the maximum amount of oxygen which an individual consumes per unit of time and delivers to peripheral organs, like skeletal muscles. 

Not all humans have the same VO. Increase in VO2 in response to activity or training or exercise varies greatly from person to person.
